Hard reset = *#7330#
When am I meant to type this in? I want to format my phone and start it all over again. Does this code reset it to the way it was when I first purchased it? eg. All folders will reset??

I start up the phone and then it asks for my PIN. So I can't enter that code there.
It will not reset your SIM's PIN. But if you last Enabled it to keyed in the SIM's PIN code, it will again prompt you the moment when you ON your phone.
Your phone security code should have been reset to 12345. Perhaps....perhaps...

i dunno really about the pin code but if you want to do a HARD reset of the phone - yeah, *#7330# should do the trick. make sure you have enough battery before doing this or better yet plug you charger. if your phone runs out of battery before completing the reset, this may bugger your phone. 😃
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the code was *#3730#

I did the code a week ago and I will say to people DON"T DO THIS!!
You are loosing every thing It looks like you get the phone out of the box when you bought it.
All my contacts where gone every thing was gone..... everyting

yeah exactly, it is a hard reset.
For people with software version 3.12 and have their memory full and not able to boot, they use this code to fix their phone. Instead of going to the NSC.

this guy in my class was really happy with his 7650 (why not, everybody is 😃) so i was like: "theres this cool code for the 7 series, try it out!" I wrote down the formatting code for him, his 7650 was packed with software, and contacts, but he didn't know about the code, he was about to put it when my concious dropped in (i hate my concious :evil: ) and i stopped him from losing all his percious data 😃
But i was so close!! What a great prank!! (but really evil!!!)
Don't try that unless you can run faster than your friend!! And sometimes he gets so pissed (he has a right though) that he might grow horns!!

dang it! that's a pretty nasty prank - you're right, it's evil. and even if i cant run faster, i'll find out how to catch up and inflict so much pain to this person who will do something like this to me. :evil:
