windows xp not recoqnizing phone

High just bought an N70. I am running windows xp with service pack 1,2,3. I dowloaded Pc suite 6.7 which the site said was compatible with the N70 and installed it no problem. The PC recoqnized the USB connection and PC suite synced to the phone.

I tested out a few apps i had downloaded. Then removed one or two. Tried to re-connect to the PC via the cable and windows doesn't realise the phone is there neither can PC suite connect to it.

I have reinstalled the suite and drivers. Searched for new hardware on XP but no joy. CAn anyone help? Is it the setting on the phone or driver on the phone?

this happened to me, and i just switched off the _phone_ then back on again and it detected it..

you didnt mention that in your post so maybe you havent tried that yet ?

I had that my problem, while trying to connect my N-Gage to PC through USB and it can't detect my MMC. Finally, I had Corrupted MMC. Try to pull out MMC & try again or format both phone n MMC 😉
