SEPT-Solution has released a new version (2.6) of its Mobile Search utility for Series 80 v2 devices. Improvements are faster Calendar search, searching of Calendar entry notes and locations, plus searching in iDesk notes.

I installed Mobile Search v.2.6 (Series 80) then went back to version 2.5: version 2.6 crashes with an error message "Unexpected end of file" (two trials, two failures).

The only thing I missed on Symbian
was the Global search as it is on Palm machines...
this is as close as it gets. Love it.😊
After email exchanges with Odendahl support (very fast reaction, I must say), it appears that version 2.6 has some problems with iDesk notes. The solution for iDesk users is to DELETE mobilesearch.ini just after installation. Now it works.
I must add this: I posted a (not really enthusiastic) review at Handango's, but they did not release it. So, of course, their readers will not know about the iDesk issue and solution...
