Release Date from Vodafone

Just phoned vodafone to upgrade my old phone and they said 12th May for the N80 :con?

Doesn't surprise me, I've been looking at their site today to see if it's on there and of course it's not.

I called Carphone Warehouse too and they advised 1st week of May :con? :con?

Surely it's not that hard to have a release date for a phone, the N80 seems to be taking ages 🙄

Spoke to Vodafone about when this phone would be released saying I was interested in joining the guy said early May. When I pressed a little harder he said they were not giving an exact date but it wouldn't be the first week. He proceeded to try the hard sell on another mobile which says to me that other networks will probably get it at the same time (onestopphoneshop are taking orders for May on Orange).

I would be suprised if it was out by mid-May, more likely to be 20th + and available in volume from early June if previous experience is anything to go by.

They clearly haven't got a clue. I phoned them yesterday (25th) and was told it would be released "tomorrow"(26th) but "to give it a couple of days".

Idiots!

The girlfriend called up again today and they advised the 12th May.........again. He did say that they are having problems with it so it is delaying the release.

I can only assume that they are having problems loading their own platform onto it and it isnt going well.

Popped into Vodafone this afternoon and was told that it has been delayed indefinately. I'm thinking of giving up on the N80 and just going for the w900i as I wouldn't be suprised if it wasn't available til june now.

I popped into Vodafone this morning and was told the first week of June. I am fully expecting to go into Vodafone in June and be told it will be the first week of July!

Some must have shipped as Expansys are now stating 'Sold Out' rather than '3-4' days.

its already available on 02 and orange in few online stores , e2save.com and onestopphoneshop to name a few.... google for it u will get more stores...hope this is helpful

E2Save says "Stock Available from Mid May" can't see anything on OSPS but they are notorious so I wouldn't be suprised if they were still waiting 4 stock. anyone gets hold of one from there then let us know.

Have just ordered one from Onestopphoneshop they have them on Orange and O2 for next day delivery. Free on �35.99 tariff.

I ordered mind yesterday and my N80 will hopefully arriving tomorrow before 1pm.

I was actually going to get a 6280 which would have cost me �160 with the same contract im getting with the N80. Ive now had to pay another �220 for the N80. I hope its worth it!

Anyone know if you can add pin code requests to gallery? messages?

Just checked the Carphone Warehouse website and they are selling it on O2, no mention of any other networks.

Surely it cant be long till it's available on all networks :redface:

OSPS is part of CPW so not surprised to see it there. What happened to Vodafone? They must be spewing.

Phone arrived this morning. Smaller than I imagined.

I gave up on Vodafone got one with o2 and i must say its a real nice bit of kit.

Expansys UK has 39 (unlocked) in stock!

I have been phoning Vodafone try to get an upgrade since beginning of last week.

I phoned this morning and they had none in stock. Every 2 hours i've been calling and today - FINALLY - they said that they had 1600 in stock. Yay!!!!!

So my N80 has been despatched and will be delivered next working day (Monday).

I can't wait to get it.

So...if you've been waiting, ring them NOW!!! They're open until 8pm.
