Good analysis.
But where did you get the thickness part, N72 is the same thickness with N70 (21,8mm). N73 is 19mm and the thinnest Nseries, but the thinnes of them all is E60 with 16,9mm.
I'm getting the thiness from the Nokia data sheet (it says it is 17.5mm). I've just read the specifications which say the same as you (21.8mm).
I'm going to correct this now - thanks very much for pointing it out. I'll think up a new introduction 😊
and yes the E60 is the thinnest S60 phone... and I really think it would be great to see an Nseries of this size. Nokia smartphone still sometimes look like they have eaten too many pies!
Edit: Now updated - doesn't read as well, but it will teach me to check the accuracy of the data sheet in future.
Well, if you want to have a camera with real mechanics it's going to take some space.. BTW, which data sheet were you looking at?
Agreed on camera optics. For my personal use I'd far rather have something a bit thicker if it means I get a few extra features. But I'm not everyone.
The data sheet was a pdf of the Nokia one (I think it was from nokia.de). I note now that its now been updated on the press page, but I still have the print out from the first one.
