Funny Problem with ringtone

Hi,
I had made a group with all my friends listed in that group and assigned a ringing tone to that group. I deleted that group after a few days but the assigned ringing tone still remained.

Any idea how to assign the default ringing tone of the selected profile to this set of contacts? I've been trying everything but to no avail 😞

Cheers CJ

open contacts

select ur friend name then the detail wil be opened and select option and chose ringing tone

is this what u want ??

Well not exactly. If I do that, then I would have to do it for about 50 contacts that were in the group that I deleted. Is there a faster way to do this?

i dont think there is a faster way. what you should have done is set the ringtone first of that group before deleting it - but i guess that's too late now. :-?

here's one thought, if you assigned a sent ringtone to that group - meaning a tone that isn't the ones in your phone, you can rename that ringtone. when you contacts search for the ringtone's old name, of course it cant be found and will be set back to default.

hope this helps. 😃

Hey,
Thanks for that. Luckily it was a downloaded ringtone and I deleted it. Now the default ring is coming.

But there is a small issue. In the details of those contacts, the ringtone displayed is still the deleted one. I suppose this would be taking some memory. Any idea how I can remove this for all of them?

nice to hear it worked for you brother! 😃 however i dont think there is any other way but to re-assign the contacts one at a time.
