Hi,
Just visited the Nokia website and found that they released a new version of PC Suite (version 1.80) both for the 9210 and the 9210i. As usual no notes on changes, at least not on the website  . For the fast movers: here is the link: http://www.nokia.com/cda1/0,1080,1910,00.html (for 9210, for the 9210 change the 1910 into 2630).
As soon as I found new or updated features I will post a follow-up, you are invited to do the same 😃

As usual, Mr & Mrs Nokia did not tell us about that !!!
Anyway, will download it straight away, and will try to find out what's new. If someone could come up with a list of changes or updates, it would be, as usual, mostly cool...

I guess the site is pretty crowded.
Get download errors and even with Download Accelerator I do not have resume supported
Just downloaded it !!! No major problems !!! Although a little bit slow. So, I guess you have to have some patience on that matter. Just retry it later on.

OK, so I downloaded the package for the 9210 and to my surprise it installs as PC Suite for 9210i. Well, no problem there, it's doens' hurt. I was able to sync without problems 😊 , but did not find any spectacular new features....
Will keep you posted on updates.

Yep,
Noticed that too.
In fact this will solve some issues with the 2K Professional and XP.
Hmm...I am shure I read this on AAS 2 weeks ago...Can`t remember where.
But indeed, nice news...nice products...hm...I gotta go working better 😮
This latest version still gives an error when installing on XP with SP2, which prevents syncing the calendars.
Ah ha - error on install
Is this along the lines of failed to autoregister agnssync.dll?
If so thank god for this forum - been talking with Nokia Tech support all week and they have no idea!
So if I uninstall SP2 will it work?
Cheers

That will be service pack 2 for windows XP.

Did anybody noticed the upgrade software section there? 😉

HELP !
OK have uninstalled Windows XP SP2 (through Add Remove Programs)
Tried to re-install but still same error 'failed to self register agnssync.dll'
Even tried resorting back to V 1.2 but same error.
Please suggestions any help gratefully received as I now have a totally useless system !
Thanks
Steve
My problems some time ago were concerned with PC Suite 1.70 and Windows Xp (home ed) service pack 1. When I uninstalled PCSuite (which hadn't installed correctly), uninstalled sp1, re-installed PCSuite and re-installed SP1 everything worked.
I don't know if uninstalling SP2 also uninstalls SP1 or not. But if you can unstall SP1 separately, try to do it. Other than that I can't help. 😞
BTW PCSuite 1.70 was also for 9210i.
I have successfully uninstalled SP2 and I thought I had uninstalled SP1 but when I go to the info details still says XP service pack 1!
Tried to reinstall PC Suite but same error
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh
Anyone PLEASE help me before I bin the damm thing.
Why do Nokia seem to have such a problem catching up software wise - XP has been out long enough now.
Steve
Don't be offended, this is s stupid comment I'm know, but are you sure you have uninstalled XP sp1 (and 2) and not some Office service packs? I was unaware that there was such a thing as XP sp2. But I know there is an Office sp2.
format your PC .. as simle as that 😉
Yes is def Windows XP
There is no official SP2 - but if you do XP Update the downloads are called SP2
Have you tried to restore your system to a previous configuration? If you select a date before you updated, it might undo the changes. Perhaps...
nah it won't.. when installing the SP2 it changes almost all system files.. i'm afraid to tell you again, format ur PC
I have windows XP on laptop and 9210i. When synchronising, I find the following:
1) Calendar appts and tasks synchronise fine, every time.
2) Contacts nearly always fails. (I have ~750 contacts) The reason seems to be that the connection to the 9210i gets lost.
3) Just occasionally Contacts synchronisation works - I have no idea why.
4) It all works fine under windows 98 on PC at home.
So I upgraded to v 1.80 of PC Suite and....got the same result.
I don't know whether I have XP SP1 or 2 installed - how do I find out?
Installed service packs should be listed if you click Start / Settings / Control Panel / System (at least if you have the classic view) and see the General tab. They should also appear in the Add or Remove programs list. But as we have heard from Steve, sp2 is not an 'offical' pack yet and does not show. Don't know why
Go to Add/Remove Programs in the control panel, and you will see some XP updates with SP2 in the names if you have installed SP2.
a new pc-suite (version 2.03) available at nokia.com for 9210 and 9210i
