Not to be confused with my own Smartphones Show (see how I slipped that little plug in?), I've spotted hard dates for Symbian's annual (free) Smartphone Show. It's on 17th and 18th of October and is highly recommended. Almost as highly recommended as the annual AllAboutSymbian meet, which will be the evening before (i.e. the 16th) in Central London. Not a problem for most I know, but beware anyone hoping to go to 3GSM Asia in Singapore they are on at the same time.
Hmmm - a pint with Ewan and Rafe in central London or the exotic climes and surroundings of the second biggest Mobile event of the year. If only money were no object! (I'll buy you that pint, I can probably afford that!)

Maybe I'm getting old (45 this year!), but a pint with Rafe and Ewan (and you lot) in London sounds ten times more attractive than trekking across the globe to yet another expo....

Always wanted to visit Singapore, probably just a me thing, but have tried lots of beers and lots of English pubs, they're great but like to try the exotic for a change. Notwithstanding that it's not just any old expo. You will see there a glimpse of what we will get here in a couple of years. If it's your passion or your job (or both...) then a visit to 3GSM Asia could give you a quite an insight and competitive advantage. Like I say, not for everyone.
I think I'll give 3GSM a miss and just go for the pint or two in London.
Oh, I might go to the show as well... should be a good one this year 😊
