Built-in Music Player won't load

Actually, it works unless I stick my MobileMMC in, and only the one that I've put all my music on.
Also, I DL'd OggPlay to replace it, and that crashes when I try to play particular songs, soo I deleted any I could find that did that, and it still refuses to load when the MobileMMC is in.

Is this a known problem with a solution, or should I just format my MMC (and/or phone) - I'd rather do neither if there's another way (reloading a 1GB MMC takes quite awhile (btw, is it much faster with a card reader instead of via the phone's USB connection?)).

Thanks muchos!

UPDATE 8AM 8 May 2006 : Well, no-one's replied with a solution so I'm backing up now (and hoping when I reload the backup it won't mess it up again!).
Course, I could've tried reformatting the MobileMMC first... yeah I think I'll do that hehe.

UPDATE 10:45AM 9 May 2006 : Okay, I've done a hard reset, formatted the MobileMMC (admittedly using my PC, not the phone's own format (could that be a problem?) and put all different music on it, and the Music Player's still refusing to load.
Further, OggPlay refuses to play anything either now, and I have to change the codecs it uses to stop it from crashing during it's search!
I've been looking for an answer, but it doesn't look like anyone's had this problem before.

And btw, when I first got my N70 (a few days ago) it didn't have this problem (I've got a full 1GB MobileMMC, and I didn't upload it via the Nokia Music Manager is that the problem? (they're all ordinary MP3s so I thought it wouldn't matter).

I load all my mp3's directly onto my 1Gb RS-MMC card using a card reader attached to the PC, and then put the card back into the phone. I don't use Nokia PC-Suite to transfer music (with the phone connected with the usb cable) as it would just be too slow. I don't get any problems with Nokia Music Player or Oggplay, but my card was pre-formatted by Mobymemory for use with the phone. If I was you I'd have all the music backed up to the PC (if necessary) and then use the phone to wipe & fully format the card. Then take the card out of the phone and use the PC & card-reader to load the music back on before trying it in the phone again.

Good luck.

Thanks for replying 😊.
I'll get my hands on a card reader pronto, this USB connection is unreasonably slow (used to use the one on my NGage and that worked fine (AFAIK lol).
I've reformatted using the Memory Card section under Menu > Tools and Music Player is working (I've uploaded a song using Nokia Music Manager), but OggPlay still isn't.
I'm going to try reinstalling it... nope still crashing when I search.

Oh well, maybe I should just look for something else to play my music (most of it's in OGG; MP3 sounds rubbish once you get used to virtually lossless).
