My friend has a sony k750i and when he turns the phone from vertical to horizontal the picture increases to take full use of the screen.
why does my n70 screen stay small in size? when it's turned sideways
it strange as the phone has a camera button on the side
have i to change any settings? or has nokia not fully covered this.

I think you're right - I can't see a way of changing that round and on the face of it, it seems a little odd that holding the unit in Portrait orientation provides Landscape shots and switching to holding it in a Landscape orientation produces Portrait format shots. But actually, I don't really think it matters - in actual fact it might be more convenient this way round - for everyday pics (and I would guess most shots) you would normally shoot in landscape, so one handed use is easier, quicker etc... and maybe if taking a portrait of someone, you'd likely be more 'set up', two hand free and less snap-shot'ish, no? Well, that's my 'supporting-Nokia-quirks' logic for what it's worth!
