Using a 7650 without a SIM

Hi there
I've been told that there is a method for getting the 7650 to work in a SIM free mode, but have been unable to find any further information on this. Does anybody know if this is possible, and if so how do I do it.

Cheers

Well you can use it without a sim as a flight-mode. LIke in the 9210. You have to have a program (System tools) that when you want to use your 7650 in the plane, it asks you to take out your sim card then restart the phone, it has it's own menus and stuff similiar to the original Nokia's.

Yup! Thanx man. 😊

I never use these progs anywayz, too business type for the casual user. Guess i need to get out more!

So there is no actual way of getting the phone into flight mode without additional software?

yep yep that;s right

theres really no point in flight mode anywayz, i have used it and u practically can't do anything apart from look at the menu screen.

none of the programs i wanted to run would work, only a blank screen like torch would come up when i tried to run the app.
