Yes they are both planning to support this phone.
so im guessing the old s60 versions of route 66 and tomtom mobile wont work?
I have been trying also to get sat nav for the N91, but so far I am coming up blank.
I tried installing TomTom Mobile 5, but it said it wasn't supported, but I checked with Route 66 for updates, and they have stated on their website that they now support the N91 with Route 66 Mobile 7. So I managed to find a copy and tried to install it to the phone, and yet again I got the same error as I got with the TomTom, file not supported.
Maybe the version I got wasn't the correct one, I don't know, but if anyone else has any idea when sat nav will be available for the N91, please be sure to drop me a line.
Ta very muchly
route 66 mobile 7 nor tomtom 5 will work with the nokia n91 because they havent made a s60 3rd edition plus theres the problem with requirement that both have: a mmc card slot
peace
Just to let anyone know who may be interested in satnav for the 3rd edition symbian 60 software, I can confirm that Route66, are currently developing a new version to support the 3rd edition based Nokia 3250, although I can't confirm a release date.
I've managed to get Wayfinder Navigator to run on my N91.
GPS device is the Parrot 3400 handsfree. Uses GPRS to download maps on-the-fly so software has a small memory footprint. (waiting for my first account for estimate of data requirement) I have some instability issues requiring a restart of the phone & am waiting for Navicore to ship a version for the N91.
Go to www.wayfinder.com for a free 5 day download. Make sure you have a GPS device already as the 5 days starts as soon as the software is installed. Cost thereafter is 99 Euros.
Good luck.:icon14:
hey guys i got a N91 and i have bought Route66 Mobile7 and installed it on my phone and it works perfectly without any problems. the bad thing about it is it takes you around the long way to your destination. i went to bradford from manchester and it took me 1hr 48mins 2 go their useing Route66 but wen i came back i came back the way i normally came and it only took me 50mins. soo i wouldnt recomend Route66 but it does work on the Nokia N91.
