N70 Charging Problem

hello all,

I have just received my third N70 from Vodafone!

I have a problem with recharging the battery.

Say the battery level bar is at 1 bar (out of five). I put the charger in, the "charging" message comes up and the bars start increase to indicate it is charging, however after a good period of charging (i.e 2 hours) i take the charger out and the battery level is at the same level as when i put the charger in! (i.e 1 bar)

It is not a falut with the battery as i have a spare and swapped them over and it happened to the other battery as well.

Finally if the battery is completely empty and the phone is off, when i put the charger in nopthing happens what so ever - it doesn't even register that there is a charger.

I am at a loss - shall i ask for my fourth N70!?

Which charger are you using? The new version or the adaptor for the old version.

Hi all,
I just have the same problem with charging, after 15min of trouble shooting, i figure out that the charger is bad. I buy an after market charger, with output 5VDC, 1000mA, cut out the connector and replace with the one Nokia one, make sure the polarity is + (positive) inside, -(negative) outside. Plug in and charge your phone, it work like a charm now. I know the charger come with the phone is suck, so better replace your. Hope this will help.😊

I also have a battery problem. I got my N70 one month back. Very 1st day i charged it nearly 6 hours. After that normal charging till the phone says enough. But my battery is not long last more than a day. Even i use or not radio, camera and mp3 listening, result is same

Can u guys tell me how to rectify this problem..?:frown:

try to drain out your battery by let it run all the way down, dont charge your fone till it dead, then give it a complete charge for 8 hours, this will help.
