Bluetooth Dongle & Nokia PC Suite

I've just acquired a Bluetooth Dongle that plugs into the USB slot on the side of my laptop. I can get my Nokia 9300 to communicate with the laptop, they see each other, but Nokia PC Suite doesn't recognise the Bluetooth connectivity and continues to deny its existence. So I can't connect and synchronise using PC Suite. I might be able to using the software that comes with the Dongle but I'd be happier I think with PC Suite. Anyone any ideas or experience of this?

I have spent the afternoon doing everything I could think of as well as following whatever advice I've been given but still the PC Suite cannot see the iTech mini Bluetooth USB Dongle that I recently got from Expansys. An agenbt at Expansys here in the UK said that a colleague had had one working, later another agent who was answering from the US said that he had heard of people having difficulty getting the Nokia PC Suite to work with a Bluetooth Dongle.
Has anyone had any luck with the Nokia PC Suite and a USB Bluetooth Dongle? If so which brand, please?

I use a Belkin F8T003 Bluetooth USB adatper, which PC Suite seems to like. But it only likes it under Windows XP, where Windows own Bluetooth implementation is used. Under Windows 2000, it used the Belkin Bluetooth implementation, and PC Suite wouldn't even attempt to use it.

I Suspect that PC Suite will only used the Windows Bluetooth implementation.

You don't mention what OS you have on your laptop, if it is Windows 2000, you might not be able to use Bluetooth at all with PC Suite since 2000 never had it's own blueooth implementation.

I sent that Bluetooth dongle back and got another cheaper one from Mobilefun. It's great, plug and play and works like a dream. :icon14: I didn't have to bother with the enclosed software. I'm on Windows XP SP2.
