I have added my image in one of the themes as wallpaper for the main screen. But it is not applied in full screen. The image appears only after other elements like clock, time, mobile operator. The image does not seem to come in the background and only starts after these elements. Please help.
N70 active standby screen
I think what you are describing is standard behaviour for a theme. When you see something in full screen in a theme this is because the author of the theme has cut the image in two and applied the first part as the background fro the status bar.
I want the image to be applied in full screen, and date, time, operator coming in the front of the image. How do we do this. I am using nokia n70
It's funny but that's what an Orange branded N70 would do. Ironic how most people moan about this firmware, yet it does the one thing you are looking for:

For un branded n70, to accomplish this you would have to create a theme using Nokia Theme Editor.

Yes, you could argue that the Orange screen would do it. But it would make you feel that you are drunk when you try and focus on the image!! Therefore, I dont think it really works. Sure its full screen, but its unfocussed, its jittery, its oddly formatted etc etc
