N91 Pros And Cons — Nokia N91, N91 8GB and Nokia 3250

Hey All,

Been a lurker in this forum for a while now, just thought i'd post.

I've had my N91 about 10 days now and unfortunatly it's had to go back as it's developed a fault.

I thought i'd list some of the problems i've had with it and see if anyone else has anything similar.

1. Hard drive on phone, when connected with PC shows all my 60 odd albums, but when I go into the music menu on the phone it only see's four of them (Althogh it see all the albums before) Very very strangem have tried phone reset, refreshing the music list, the works. Still no joy at all. (This is why it's been returned.

2. Bluetooth, it doesn't pick up anything apart from my old 6230i, which is very very very frustrating, I have been told that there is a software upgrade already released for this phone, I have asked the shop to upgrade this as well.

3. The volume level on the earpiece itself isn't as loud as previous NOkia's i've had, which can be a bit of a pain.

4. As we've all discovered it cannot currently install old S60 software which is a massive pain as I have shedloads of it.
Hopefully this will be rectified soon.

5. Video camera on the phone, the video footage itself and the sound are slightly out of sync, which is a real shame as the quality is fantastic otherwise 😞

6. The menu key is postioned top right of the phone and it's not easily pressed with just one hand which is a shame.

On the positive front i really really love the phone, I mean really love it, the design, the options it has, I mean it's up there with the best phones ive ever owned, it has seriously impressed me.

I can't help but think though it's been released with shed loads of bugs etc, which is a massive shame.

I to have the phone for 10 days but the only niggle i can concour with is number 4
Ihave had no trouble with bluetooth detection or voice sync on video.
My only problem is starting the music player every time i pull my phone from my pocket ohh and the headphone set is like a plate of spagetti..

yes the release of the phone is definitly following in the footsteps of microsoft.... released late, with bugs

My N91 is now a month 5 days old. I don't have any problem with my N91 except for themes. When I bought the phone, I thought the themes would work in this N91 phone cause it's not a new thing or something. To my dissappointment, the themes won't work. It's really really sad to know that such a sophisticated phone doesn't even support themes yet. Only those few themes that are preloaded in my phone when I bought them. I'm one of those that really uses themes on the phone. So now, I just got to bear with it. Other than that, the phone is perfect. I don't get those problems that you are encountering. Regarding the soft ringing tones, you can use the vibrating mode if you are in a noisy place. That works for me. 😉

Also, I noticed, when I play my music from the "Music" icon ( not the Media icon ) when the music is playing and when I rewind the music back to the start of the song, the song will be louder. Don't know why .. but it's alright with me. lol .

Other than that ... it's a good phone with a 4GB storage. 😉

The N91 supports themes just fine (but there are be themes that don't support the N91, because they were made for older phones).
