Have been running 9210 since they were first launched in UK and on the whole am pleased with the phone. but this is only once I had worked out that the Nokia supplied memory card was duff and upgraded the firmware to 3.54. Now started having the usual problems of increasingly frequent boots and software freezes and decided to upgrade firmware to 4.13. Call to Communicade told to ring Nokia. Ring Nokia told someone would get back to me. They didnt and now three phone calls back to them over a period of a week and still no call and still no support. The people I have spoken to have not got a clue about the 9210, rang Club Nokia Care line today and got "oh no not another one" response so clearly lots of other people are finding Nokia support worse than useless. Anyone any hints how to bi-pass this situation. Why why cant we upgrade firmware ourselves. Have a GPS receiver which I upgraded without any problems at all - similar sized internal memory - quick download quick upload and Bobs your auntie! Surely we should be putting pressure on Nokia collectively?

I did - they said I had to go through Nokia who would arrange pickup of phone.
If its not too far, take your phone to them and wait the few minutes it takes. This way, you won't have to be without your phone for a week.
This is what I will do when I can get leave and justification for the 500 mile rtound trip it will be for me.
Yup might be the final solution BUT why are we prepared to accept this situation when Nokia should b providing a better service? Have rung Nokia again and still waiting for that illusive call back.
For what it's worth, I phoned Nokia (communicaid) on Friday, they said they would call back within 2 working days.
They called on Tuesday collected the phone on Wednesday. The question is of course when will they return the phone.
I did this once before and got the phone back in a week. Part of the reason for the time they take seems to be that they give it a full health check. 48 hours I think.
Point being, they do get it right some of the time.
