New charger pin size is rubbish

Has anyone else had the same problem with the new charger size? Never mind that I now have to carry around an adaptor if I want to be able to charge my N80 away from home using the almost global standard of "old" Nokia chargers, or else forever carry the new charger about, but the small size is hopeless at locating properly anyway and is forever losing connection.

Why the change to what is something (I find) worse?

I've had no problems at all. I imagine they made it smaller to save space in the casing (there is a lot of stuff to pack in!). I expect this will become the new standard, especially as phones are become thinner and thinnner - the old pin just took up too much room.
