Nokia 6630 and gaming, especially N-Gage games?

In reply to myself, and to anyone interested, I found out there exists an app similar to 3DMark, but it's for mobiles. Called SPMark 04. Well, a quick google for 6630 and spmark atleast showed that 6630 is almost twice as fast as N-Gage. I also learned that N-Gage has main cpu ARM4 running at 104mhz while 6630 is ARM9 at 220mhz. This still doesn't explain if those games be run in any way. The display resolution and color depth is the same, too. Oh well, maybe no one here cares anyway.

You CAN play N-Gage games on your 6630 and other Symbian Series 60 compatible phones. For more information check the Symbian-Freak.com forum, Series60.HowardForums.com forum and also this forum. All three contain lots of info if you only take the time to search 😊 But anyway, it's possible and it's not that hard 😉

PS. Currently I have Snakes, Sega Rally, Puyo Pop, Sonic N. Rayman 3, Pandemonium, Monkeyball and Moto GP on my mobile and there all N-Gage games 😉

Thanks alex3305! I found everything I needed from symbian-freak.com, except it took me quite a while to google a place to download blzinstall from. Good to know it is possible. I am a fan of RPG games, especially the Elder Scrolls series, and the Shadowkey is said to work on 6630. 😊

i have downloaded that BLZ in ma mobile, also installed n-gage games into ma mobile, bt the thing is that when i load blz application on my mobie, it doesn't find any (ngage games ) to install,
what shall i do ?

Taimur, blzinstapp should find any .blz files if they are in the root directory of your MMC. It doesn't find them if they are in any subdirectories.

metalmicmac: well, there's a lot of free/trial games in www.getjar.com, though I don't really know what you mean by N-Gage games. Those found in getjar work for many different phones.

I know where to get alot of N-Gage games, but I think its illegal to give links here. A good tip is to search on a release name on Google, for release names check the NFO sites 😉

i tried a lot bt it didnt work.

Secondly , the n-gage game which i downloaded to my pc , was in .rar format. I extracted it to a folder, in which there were 2 other folders each containing different files.

anyways, pls tell me the proper way to extract the games on my pc , and den transfering to my mobile .

And to transfer games(for non-.blz):

1. Download a game.
2. Open the file.
3. Drag and drop(or extract) the "System" folder wherever you want.
4.
a. If you use USB:
- Open file explorer in Nokia PC Suite. Go to E:
- Drag and drop the "System" file to Nokia PC Suite's file explorer, in E:
- Answer "Yes" to all if it says something.
Installed! Now you can play the game 😊

b. If you use Bluetooth: (im not familiar with this, but i say it like i have read)
- Transfer the folder to phone. It should appear as message.
- Get FExplorer http://www.gosymbian.com/FE_download.html (I think you can install that.. just doubleclick the .sis file and choose "yes" and install in phone)
- Go to your mail folder in FExplorer, and copy the "System" folder to root of E:
Installed! Now you can play the game 😊

one more thing i wanted to ask, i found a .blz game , i transfered to my mobile, it was installed too , bt when i tried to run it , it wont even start, secondly, after installing it my mobile iz really slow now 😞 , and its stucking , although im having 8.2 ram free.
i tried to delete that game , bt still no effect on the speed of mobile, and its still stucking.
The game was first tomb raider, den i removed it and installed virtual tennis
both games didn't play, and mobile is very slow now

Look that "-=tomb raider=- final" or something thread in that forum i gave link, there's solution to tomb raider(if u have 6630)
