I just received my unlocked N80 and inserted my Cingular SIM card. I keep receiving a message "Allow SIM card to send message". I have allowed it to send a message twice and it is asking me again. Will this stop? Should I continue to allow the message to be sent. I know I am paranoid but this is my first unlocked phone and I am afraid they are gathering info on the phone and will disable it.
Any info will be appreciated. Look forward to giving my opion on the phone once I get to play with it more.
Hi
Mine did this when I stuck my O2 paygo sim card in for the first time, from what it appeared to do I think that this was the phones way/simcards way of telling the network where you are/registering on the network. I could be wrong, once it had sent the txt a txt came back from O2 with my latest balance.
Obviously if you aren't on paygo then it wouldn't apply😊
Hth
E61 here. and i am getting the same. no idea yet why it is so.
i have cingular too mines did this for about 8 times it sent 8 messages i took the battery out and out it in after waiting 30 seconds and it worked fine idk what the problem was in the first place but try taking your battery out.:icon14:
