I have a Nokia 9500 Communicator for about a year now, which I mainly use to read my e-mails, answer them, and even make contracts when I am mobile.
I have a POP3 company e-mail address.I am sure you will agree with me that while working, it is very important for me to be able to read every piece of information sent to me.Unfortunately at this stage, I have a problem using my Communicator:
When someone with a Hotmail or Yahoo e-mail address forwards me a message that they have received from a third person (as you all are aware on Yahoo; when someone forwards a message, it goes as an Attachment the default option ; which is usually a file with .msg extension), there is no way that I can read the forwarded message (and its attachment if any) . When I open my box, I see a message stating Original message attached .Unfortunately Attachment button is not active, and I have not been able to find a way to open the Attached message (of course if you use the web, you can reach your server and open it there but it is time consuming). I have 5.22(1) installed .
The interesting (and strange at the same time) part is when the forwarder attaches another file ( word, Excel, pdf etc) to his forwarded message; then I receive a mail with TWO attachments; the first one is the attached mail-and its attachment if any (which I cannot open if forwarded alone-neither the mail nor the attachment), and the second one is the attached word, excel or pdf file. This time, the Attachment button is active, and I can open BOTH of the attachments and their attachment if any (that is to say every file in the chain is supported).
Is there a problem with my device or am I doing something wrong or is it a shortcome of the firmware? It is very important for me that I can open this kind of forwarded mail.If you are aware of a program (I have tried ProfiMail no success; it somehow opens the forwarded message but not the original attachment of the forwarded mail -if any) which can open them, it will also help.
Thanks for your time.
