On my N80 there is an application called Photography that I'd like to remove, as when you take a picture a menu pops up asking you if you want to "upload to an album" or "send to a friend" - neither of which I would ever want to do (send to a friend is not sending an MMS - it's something else).
It doesn't show up in the application manager so I'm not sure if it can be removed. If I press 'C' on the icon on the menu it starts to uninstall it but does not complete. The menu is then removed from the camera, but it returns after you reboot the phone.
I realise that this is operator specific (Orange) - but there must be some way I can uninstall it, surely?
If i remember correctly, you can within the program stop it from working.
In settings of the program you can disable the promts and the auto start of the program. Finally if you wish you can stop the whole program.
Hope this helps
Jonathan
Nice one thanks mate, you can indeed. I had previously never gone past the accept/decline screen. 😊
Just get the firmware flashed with generic Nokia firmware.
If you flash the firmware, can you still get access to Orange World and Orange TV?

Yes as long as you use an Orange GPRS connection.
When the TV app for N80 is out then yes also as long as you use the Orange GPRS connection.
The connections are restored from Sim post flash so no problems.
See my other post for how to flash firmware.
