Bluetooth issue with PC Suite

Hi All,

I recently bought a USB Bluetooth dongle (Bluesoleil 1.6.1.4 Release 050606) for my Nokia 6260.
I installed the Bluesoleil software and Nokia PC Suite 6.6.18 software on my PC (I'm running Win XP SP2).
I can successfully connect and transfer images/mp3 between my phone and PC through the basic services in IVT Bluesoleil software. But when I try to use PC Suite, it does not connect.

The steps I follow:
- Start PC Suite
- Click on "Get Connected"
- Select "Bluetooth connection"
- Select "Bluetooth(IVT Soleil)"
- It shows my phone in the "Detected devices list"
- I click next and it asks passcode, I enter "123" and click next.
- It says "You have the following connections available" AND the list is empty.
- The 'Next' tab is greyed out and I have only the 'Finish' button.
- After clicking finish, it makes no difference. It shows 'No phones connected'.

None of the applications in the PC Suite are able to find my phone.

I dont get the 'Bluetooth' icon in my Control Panel. Atleast is there any way by which I can pair my phone with PC Suite using the Microsoft Bluetooth?

Finally I guess I have resolved the bluetooth issue regarding my Nokia 6260, the PC Suite and BlueSoleil.

Here are the steps I followed:

- Uninstall any version of IVT BlueSoleil in the computer.
- Uninstall any version of PC Suite in the computer.
- Download the full version of Bluesoleil 1.6.1.4 Release 050606. I downloaded it using DC++.
- Download Nokia PC Suite v 6.8 Release 22 from the Nokia website. Heres the link for convenience:

- First install the IVT BlueSoleil 1.6.1.4
- Then install PC Suite 6.8
- Follow the 'Manage Connections' procedure till the end where it will list "(your phone name) Bluetooth" in the list.
- Click Finish.

Now all the services in the PC Suite will see ur phone.

Hi all,
I go a pro with the data cable (dongle) I first followed the posted instructions to download the software and it worked BUT when I wanted to istall the rogram on another machine (laptop) it didin't work or even connect!!!
Any help plz reply:redface: :frown: 😮 :con?
