so any help on this would be gr8

go to www.handango.com 😃

well thats juuuuusssst gwaaaa8

i mean ya pay a few bucks fur a program that does everythin but the washing in the house and then it says i dont wanna connect
i aint gonna conform to ur rules mate

 i dont wanna do what yu wanna do

I AM IM...MWAHAHAHAHAHAH
TipicME got only Jabber!
Once you're connected to the Tipic server via Jabber you can then connect to ICQ, AIM, MSN and Yahoo!. I'm doing that right now.

It's actually better bandwidth-wise than connecting to all four directly, c'ause you're only maintaining one connections, to the Jabber server.

Yes. Some of the best things in life are free. Just go to www.tipic.com

You can download it for free from there. You will also have to set up an account on their site to be able to use the software on phone. But its worth it.

Goodluck
😃 😃

Well I got Tipic installed, I registered on their site, and filled in the user name and the fields on the phone.

When I press Connect, it says 'Connection Falied! Check your GPRS account in your phone.'

I have 3 access points set up. One is for MMS, one is for WAP only, one is for internet access. In the GPRS settings, I have the one for the internet set active.

What could be the problem?

Yes. It seems to happen for some inexplicable reason. Try designating a different access point. Try to connect thru it momentarily, and then disconnect and revert to original setting. This should help in most cases (unless ur operator is blocking the data).
You might also want to restart ur phone.

Goodluck

If i remember correctly, you cannot use msn/icq/etc at the same time you want to wap, mms or email... anyone else noticed this too?

It is true. Particularly if u are using GPRS for other services(Wap, Email). Only one GPRS connection can be active at a time

😊

I understand that, but I tried to connect both with internet GPRS active and no GPRS connections active (to make Tipic initiate the connection). However, nothing happened.

BTW, what's the Gateway field in the Settings menu? It doesn't appear on Tipic's Help pages.

Gateway should'nt be an issue. It works fine set to both 0.0.0.0 and the operator defined ip.

Did u try out previous post?

I tried it but did not help.

I also tried to use the internet GPRS connection name in the Gateway field, and it did try to connect then. But the error message was the same, just a little bit later, maybe in a later phase of the connection process.

A littel bug was corrected. Try to re-download TipicMe now, and sorry for that!
In the next days we will publish a final (stable, not still beta) version, with a lot of improvements and bug fix... and more... 😉

regards,

Gino

Call your local operator for GPRS services. Some operators do not pre-activate your GPRS account. So if it's not activated, no matter how you try, then GPRS will fail.
