I've recently got a Nokia N80 on free upgrade on Vodafone.

Firmware Version etc is:
V 3.0614.0.3
11-04-2006
RM-92
Nokia N80 (42.02)

I've enabled the "autolock" function in Security and I've set a 5 digit LOCK code. The only problem is that I can bypass this 5 digit security code and access the Gallery. Not ideal if I lost/left my phone and didn't want the pictures/videos to be looked at.

To bypass this I have allowed the phone to auto lock (or lock it manually). Once locked I can press and hold the button used to access the camera/take a picture and it jumps into Camera mode. Once in Camera mode I can hit Options - Gallery. In.

Bit rubbish and a big oversight in security as far as I'm concerned!!

Anybody else have this problem? If not what firmware version are you running. I wonder if the newer versions have this same issue.

Although I haven't tried it myself, allegedly this is fixed with the firmware upgrade that everyone is talking about.

Camera
- Improvements to Video Adaptation Video Encoder and playback
- Camera key is no longer active if device locked
- Improvements to Camera rotation when used by 3rd party applications
- Camera shutter sound is now played during voice call

The camera key is disabled with the 'normal' keypad lock on mine but not with the 'secure lock'.

This must indeed be fixed as part of the update.

I'll get my firmware upgraded and see
