3650 upgrade?

I have had my 3650 since they first came out. I love the phone a lot. Lately it is showing some signs of old age and will not stay powered up for more than a few minutes. I replaced the battery but that didn't help.

My question is what would be a good replacement for the 3650? I use TMO so it would probably be a choice of one of their phones. Some of the phones they have listed are:

Samsung t309
Samsung e635
Nokia 6101
Nokia 3220
Samsung t509

I don't know the other brands but those phones are all non-Symbian so you'll lose a lot of the functionality you have now with the 3650.

On the other hand, if you're just after a phone-phone rather than a smartphone I could recommend the 3220, it's quite funky-looking with the disco lights on the side that glow in lots of different colours when it rings. It's also a pretty solid phone and (at least with my phone operator) has email and instant message support.

I totally agree with you! I have been wanting a new phone for a year or so, but NOTHING compares with my 3650! I love the huge screen, non-windows mobile interface, the list goes on. Two years ago, after too many drops to the ground, I bought an unlocked model off ebay. Who buys the same phone again? me! Because I love my phone so much!!! My first original (2003) battery became wicked slow and wouldn't stay charged for even 24 hours on standby. The model from ebay was manufatured a little later than my older one, so the battery was much newer. That was 2005 and it's only just now starting to slow down.
Why can't Nokia make a newer, improved, version of this super cool phone? I don't understand. ANyone who sees my phone always comments "wow! what is that?!!!" And I'm like, "It's 3 years old!"
Since then, Nokia has stopped making truly user-friendly phones and have lost their customer focus. I've always been a Nokia girl, but if they don't get their act together and make a decent smartphone again - I'll just have to buy another 3650 off ebay. 😊 ha!
I've been tempted by the Blackberry Pearl, but internet access from Tmobile is $20 extra a month. Bullshit fee. The 3650 uses T-zones with a grandfathered price set in at $2.99 unlimited download transfer, 350 txt msgs... I'm not giving that up quite yet.
The only thing that really bothers me it the camera is sub-par compared to the phones out now. I recall it was the best on the market for a good long while.
Samsung phones suck. Any models I've tried have really been crappy.

Every single S60 based phone behave the same way as the 3650, except that many things are better nowadays (more memory, faster processors, more functionality, better cameras, etc.).

So, if you find the S60 device with a form-factor (look & feel) that you like, then you should be all right See http://www.s60.com/ for all the S60 devices.
