Record conversation

Nope, that seems to be it, unless anyone has any better ideas! What would be handy would be a little hack to stop that damn beeping noise when you're recording conversations. There must be a way to stop that, unless Nokia hard-coded something so that when ever the recorder is activated, it checks for an active call. Can some of our Symbian c++ coders work around this, or do you think we're stuck with it?

I guess there's an illegality issue of recording without people knowing. But what would be cool is fast access to it and the beep to go away, then i can spread my evil everywhere and to everyone 8)

Some Siemens mobiles don't have the beeping noise and have easy recording acces. They are also digitaly stored on the phone.[/u][/code][/quote]

anyway the 8310 records voice, simply.
So judging by this thread, we can record voice right? but it makes a beep sound wen its activated?

Errrmmm....I can't beleive you didn't think of this:

If you assign a shortcut key to sound recorder, when in a call the shortcut keys aren't shown as "End Call" and something else are.

The only way I have found is to take advantange of the fact that the phone can Muli-Task.

Before making the call, open the sound recorder once opened hold down the menu button to have the program running in the background.

Once the number is dialled you can hold your menu button down again, which will bring the recorder back to the front and you can record. (Note, you can only use the task switching whilst in the call, whilst it is ringing it doesn't give you the option), I guess this is so you have to tell the person on the other end that you are recording or you need to do something to your phone. There is a "beep" every 5 seconds or so when you are recording.

Have heard that if you put the phone onto "silent" profile, it won't beep while recording. Haven't tried it yet, does someone want to give it a try and see if it works?

Well that was an easy test, nope, nada, not work! Still beeps :cry:

Warning tones off will silent the camera when phone in general mode but not the beeps of recorder

Well i think there is a para in the manual something about the beeping tone in the recorder when record a conversation. It's a build-in feature and can not be remove unless change of chipset or motherboard.
