Hi,
Tried posting this to a linux forum but haven't had any reply yet.
Has anybody had a problem connecting the nokia n80 to a linux computer (with a recent 2.6 kernel). I end up getting lots of I/O error messages.
Another issue i have, none of my memory card readers will access my 2gb flash card. I have tried in windows and linux, with a pcmcia sd reader and two usb readers. My stock 128mb mini sd card works fine (in the usb readers). I have tested it with a normal sd cards and they work fine.

Hmm did you reformat the card at all? If not it might be worth trying that - either in the phone or the PC. The only other thing to check is that you have a clean connection in your adaptor -s ome card seem not to connect quite so well. The fact you can't see it at all is a bit strange.
Do you get the usb problem regardless of the memory card used? Maybe the dodgy memory card id upsetting Linux?
I'll try mine tonight and let you know how I get on
I found out that i can get the N80 mass storage mode to work if i use a kernel with ub low performance driver, or a 2.4 kernel (at least the knoppix ones). But otherwise i get i/o errors.
I haven't tried formating the card yet as i would have to "reinstall all the data/programs"
I also don't think that it is a connection issue as the Nokia 128mb card works fine in the adapter (Through the usb card reader)
I tried som tests (searching though the house.
I guess i will have to try and do some debugging.... Tring some older kernels and find out where it stops working.

I posted the problem to the usb maintainers list and was given a patch.
I will try this later today, if it works i can post it here (only a couple of lines)

Seems the phone behaves incorrectly:
Got a patch on the linux-usb mailing list.

And if you'ver password protected the memory card in the phone, remove the password before you try the card in a card reader.
