"Store Images" app--says all pics are new. Why? What do I do?

Hi all you S60 phone users,

I have an N70, and I'm really liking it, especially coming off a slow Sony Ericson model.

I have a few problems with it though, but nothing like previous phones or Palm pilots. Will just stick to the first biggy:

IMAGING: I am a photographer and one reason I got this was to always have a camera on hand, I love it because I don't have to remember to take my camera to class (I'm a kindergarten teacher too) when the kids do something fun (and usually it is when doing "normal" games that they do something out of the ordinary)

Anyway, THE PROBLEM: When I download pictures to my computer using Nokia's PC Suit (newest version of course), every time I start "Store Images", it looks at the camera and says ALLLLLL the pictures are new, and I can't seem to get it to think differently. The shareware Adope Photo Start (whatever) seemed to remember which ones it had already downloaded, but I don't like that software for other reasons (one being I like my photos put into directories with their shooting date, which it doesn't seem to do like Store Images).

Yet every time I use Nokia's image software, it downloads all the pictures, putting a number after pictures that already exist. I DON'T want to delete downloaded pictures from my camera, as I do that manually since I like to keep some on there to show others or for wallpaper. Who would want to remove ALL images from their phone? That include the videos and wallpaper that comes with the phone, right?

What do you guys do about this? How do you get your images? Copy and paste? I would like to have them sorted into directories though. I wish that Albums on the phone were directories, but that doesn't seem to do much good on the computer side.

Thanks for any imaging tips and help being able to download only NEW photos.
