Some of you probably know this but since we are talking about IRC i have to mention this! There is a warez channel on EFNET #nokia7650.....I am mentioning this because somene emailed me abou this! Dont know why he just did! So....you might wanna check it out!

About the warez problem....I guess when the 3650 we will have a serious problem with the forum!

Is it okay to download the firmware version? Someone here wanted a firmware version, it is not counted as warez or anything is it?
Well I am not sure......however the firmware software is hosted in a site that has nothing to do with the Irc channel. I just found the link there!
Firmware version is safe as you can copy it off of your phone. I don't think it's illegal to put it on yours either as it's supplied free by Nokia when they upgrade it for you. The bit that is of dubious legality is duplicating the dongles required to get the firmware on there.
On a serious note, how does warez for the 7650 exist????? I mean how the bloody hell are they getting round the whole IMEI thing, or are there developers out there who aren't IMEI locking their software?
I mentioned that in the forum a way back......there are still developers who are so ignorant to think that nobody will copy or distribute their software and dont copyprotect them. Just visit the channel and see by yourself....its just crazy! They even have a cracked copy of SeleQ....which uses the IMEI protection, however I havent tried it so I dont know if it works and I dont even care since I bought mine!
THose crackers have ways! Guess everything is crackable to them..
