9500 POWER ISSUES-pls help

I have nokia 9500, which i have been using happily for almost 2 yrs, suddenly today it has failed to start up,after battery was flat, removed the battery to dead the residual power in electronics, put the battery back in after 2 minutes-> no response.connected the power lead, can see the screen flick twice but no luck, the communicator remains dead, it is puzzling, does it mean huge cost?has anyone seen similar problem?please help.

Hi,

I would suggest leave the battery out for 30 minutes.

Then insert the battery. Close the cover and then press the on/off swith once very lightly. If northing happens press it once again.

You will need to keep on trying. I would strongly suggest you not to have the powerlead connected when the phone has not booted up.

Did you try the old 92xx trick and shortcut the batery conectors on 9500?
