Battery life and Active Standby

What does have a significant affect on battery life then? After letting my mobile fully discharge yesterday I then let it charge over night. It had full charge this morning but after checking my email once today and making 2 voice calls lasting no longer than 20 minutes in total I now only have 1 bar left on my battery life and it's not even 4 o'clock yet!?

I've checked and there's no apps running in the background, what's going on? Can't even charge my phone on the way home 'cause I cant get a tip for my IGo charger yet!

Suppose I'm gonna have to get another Nokia charger for work...very disappointed!

:frown:

Have a look on the forum - can't remember what thread. You need to make sure you turn off all non essential running processes basically, e.g. set to GSM mode only, turn off periodic scanning for WiFi availability etc, set GPRS connection to 'when needed' etc. I get about 3 days between charges on mine. Also, it takes a few charges and discharges before the battery is conditioned anyway.

That's excessive. The battery life for the N80 is pretty fleeting, but I've used my phone more than that today (it's now 8pm) and I've still got the maximum number of bars. I've had 3G and Bluetooth on all day too.

I must admit that as the weeks go by, the battery life seems to be getting better. Maybe I'm just fiddling with it less because the novelty is wearing off, or maybe it takes a few weeks for the battery to get properley conditioned.

I had a K750i before and the battery at first was disappointing. After a couple of weeks I got 4+ days standby time with some photo, sms, calls. Hope I have the same luck with this n80. Now my standby time is around 24h 😞

I agree with superleccy,
the battery life appears to be improving with age 😊
4 days off an overnight charge.
