I found an AMR converter which seemed to work quite well, but it only worked from the command line. This meant it was a pain to convert more than one files at a time, so I wrote a front-end for it.
Drag and drop a load (up to 32,000!) of AMR files on to the target area of the program, and they will be converted to WAV format. The next version of this program will be able to convert from WAV to AMR, and from AMR to MP3.

i actually tried one of those conversions wav to amr, and the sound is totally screwed.
is it only good for voices and not for songs?
Because of the deteroration of the quality, I would recommend only using this for voice files... I guess some sounds are ok, but you lose so much of the sampling it ruins the quality.
i m trying to convert an AMR to a WAV file, i downloaded MOBILE AMR but didn't work inmy computer, don't know why, i've windows 98. then I downloaded
the Nokia Multimedia Converter, because I thought that it would change not only WAVs to AMR, but also AMR to WAVS... need some help!!!! the thing is that I want to upload AMR files to my website, but AMRs can't be uploaded. so i have to convert them first to a file type that can be uploaded....
what's the name of the converter you're referring to???
