Hey, well I'm new to these forums but not new to s60. Started out with a 6681, followed by an N70 and most recently an N91.
All was going well with my shiny new brick until I noticed apps closing themselves when I opened more than a couple at a time (at least the music player stays open because its un-closeable 😊 ) Mostly this happens when using opera 2.0 java. Minimising it and running a couple of other apps usually means everything but the app I'm in and the music player closes down.
Now I was used to this with my 6681, but this never happened on the N70 with its masses of ram. So I downloaded taskman for s60 v3 and opened it to check the ram... 10mb free?! (on a clean boot). This is only a couple of mb more than the old 6681, whereas my N70 usually had about 28mb free on a clean boot.
So if this is right, why have Nokia put an abysmal amount of ram in a high end N series phone? After the N70 I thought all future devices would have had at least the same amount.
I shelled out a lot of money for this (sim free) and its not nice to see my 'old' N70 whipping it when it comes to multi-tasking.
Anyone else with an N91 noticed this?
