I have XP SP2
I recently bought a bluetooth dongle ( type 1002 se 200502)
My comp prompts "Unknown Device connected at USB port..." when i connected it.
I have installed the software Bluetooth Soleil that accompanied.
I guess it had drivers for the device..
What else should I do to get it working..

man, trying to be very simple:
when an USB device connects to the PC it sends to the OS its ID. when it does not happen, windows says the device could not be recognized.
reasons for it to happen...
can be various, let's start from the two most common...
USB Hubs and faulty connectors.
some people to get extra ports connect hubs to hubs and when you take a look at that it's just a mess and it really affects ALL devices communication.
faulty connectors (cables as well) may interfere.
actually some USB controllers in certain mainboards cause malfunctions as well, I had a webcam that never connected to my ASUS onboard USB port, but it worked well when I bought one of those PCI USB cards that gives extra ports.
you should plug into other computers, if one of them recognizes it then the problem is in your pc, if not, take your phone for a professional check.
