Im trying to upgrade the firmware but cant seem to get Phoneix to install properly. I am using the instructions that are given on this forum.
I apply the file and overwrite the dll files. Phoneix then installs, but after i reebot it registers quite a few files and gives an error saying a few files failed to register. When i click on the icon on the desktop its gets stcuk on the Splash screen.
Any plz gus
Is this this the first part of phoenix i.e 2004 with the crack? or the 2nd part?
This is the first part, trying to install 2004 at the moment. Once the pc boots, it gives a msg about DSKEY and then it registers a few files and then gives a msg saying that some files couldnt be registered.
I then try to run the software but after the nokia splash screen it just gets stuck. I even tried to install the 2006 version but still no luck cant get to the software.
Something must be going wrong during crack and 2004 installation. But it asks for dongle and i hit retry followed by installing the crack all goes normal until bootup. I have tried without rebooting as well, still no luck
Anyone else have this problem.

you need to read the installation instructions and follow them EXACTLY,
when you install the crack you need to do this immediately when it says, you have to be very quick
3. When prompted for a Nokia dongle, hit retry, then immediately hit install on the crack, overwrite DLL files.
It took me 4 attempts to get it right
I have been doing it quickly, maybe not quickly enough.
If your not quick it just comes up with an error saying cant overwrite so i would imagine i did it in the required time.
I have already tried a few times will give it another go. DId you face the same problems

Yes, I couldnt understand why it wouldnt install correctly, then when I did the patch very quick it installed perfectly, but I had to be really quick.
I dont know, but I think the crack tries to ovewrite some files while pheonix is still installing and if you dont click the crack quick enough it misses some files.

Here's a tip - when you get to the screen where phoenix has given you the REtry Cancel box, Tab over to retry from cancel and poise one hand over the enter button on your keyboard, then position your mouse curser over the install button on the crack window and your other hand is on the mouse ready to click. That way you can almost hit Retry and Install simultaneously 😊

keep both the 2004 window and the crack window open mate...then when it says Retry, hit the crack straight away.
