usernames and password in browser

Hi,

Is it possible to store username/passwords for different sites as it is in e.g. firefox.

It is anoying typing password each time you are connection to gmail, ...

Tnx.

I just tried bypassing the gmail logon page using the following URL

https://www.gmail.com/ServiceLoginAuth?Email=xxxxx&Passwd=yyyyy

change xxxx for your logon email and yyyy for your gmail password. Best to store any old URL in your bookmarks then edit the url in the bookmark manager as the URL changes once you logon.

oddly, it works on a Pc browser, once you've accepted the certificate you are straight into your email. However on the N80 you still get a logon box 😞

You can use the POP access for Gmail I suppose.

Does opera offer storing passwords?

Yes, you can store passwords in Opera.

Copied from the opera site:
-----

Password manager

A password manager saves time and makes it easier to use a mobile browser. The password manager remembers your username and password for each website so you don't have to type it in more than once.

The password manager is using encryption to store the password information, and gives the user the option of having a master password for extra security.

If you are using webmail services or intranet services frequently, the password manager is a must!

Yeah I find this really irritating.

With my N70 I used to login to Gmail (m.gmail.com) using the internal browser and I was able to save my username and password so that I could automatically login to my email account. Does anybody know why this is not the case on the N80???
