Hi all, new to this forum.

Just flashed my N80 with the latest firmware, all seems good. funny how i took it into my local nokia service point and they didnt have the updated software (Grimsby UK) so i came home and did it :icon14:

But im strugling to understand the wifi setup, ive tried a couple of times to do it with no success i set it all up and it still connects via gprs? is there a guide or any help available for this?

Also memory cards seem to be a problem, bought a 1gb of ebay. wont display in gallery and if u do a video of say 1 min of film, it wont play it back says data corrupt. but seems ok with smaller files??? took it out and im back to my 128mb which seems fine.

Had it about a week, still not sure if to keep it tho, miss the pics and aninmations in the texts and the battery life isnt brilliant but a great phone.

Oh yeah 1 last thing, can you have a photo that fills the screen up? if u get wot i mean.....

Look forward to some replys

once you have setup the access point you need to create a bookmark that now uses that new access point. Access point is 1 of the fields when setting up a new bookmark.

then you just open web, answer no to gprs connect and then click the bookmark you just created.

this worked for me, it is all explained in the manual. 1st time I have read a manual in years

good luck

err....don't have to bookmark your access point..

at web, goto settings, change access point to "always ask". this will prompt you to choose an access point (bel it wlan or gprs)

works for me though.
