It's true that I've only had the Nokia E61 for a couple of weeks, but I've had a first stab at an E61 Tips page over on 3-Lib. If you've found any handy shortcuts or tips, please add them in Comments. Rafe will be along soon with a more advanced E61 tips round-up here on AAS.
Read on in the full article.
The Blue arrow in Operaland means a 30 day trial I think Steve, not a freebie.

Oops. Yes, you're right, Opera don't make it very clear. I guess the lack of the word 'FREE' should have tipped me off though.
Ah well, I've scratched that tip. Got to think up some more now 8-)

Just to really make your day, the link to the Nokia page for the AD-15 doesn't feature that item, so I'll post a link to expansys... http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=123913 though you can get there through the link to the shop.
Seems to be more evidence that Nokia don't think people buying the E61 will want to listen to music. I raised this in another forum regarding WMA support being absent compared to the N80, say.

You can make the built-in S60 browser on the E61 display the internet almost exactly like a PC if you go to the "zooming options" menu and keep selecting "reduce font" and "zoom out" until they both go away.
Once you've done this, sites like All About Symbian or BBC News have about 80% of their width on-screen, with virtually no sideways scrolling needed. It makes navigating the internet almost the same as using a PC.
The E61 will remember the reduce font setting, but needs to be zoomed out with each new browser session. This can be done very quickly by clicking a couple of times on the # symbol until it says "50% zoom".
Thanks, Tim, link amended!

Your tips page suggests the phone only comes with a mono headset. However the 'what's in the box' section on threestore.co.uk suggest they are shipping with a Stereo headset.

Anyone here receive an E61 with a stereo headset?
Steve
I found that using the 'miniSD to full size SD' card adapter, I can take photo's on my tiny Konica-Minolta Dimage XG. Pop out the card & stick it in the E61.
I had changed the camera settings to '640x480' to keep the files small but the E61 software is intelligent enough to scale images down further, to an appropriate size for MMS.
Not q-u-i-t-e as convenient as a built in megapixel camera but should be nice for sending back holiday snaps.
PS. Mine came with a mono headset in the Uk.

My E61 arrived with a mono headset in the box. I called Three Customer Services and they told me the phone should come with a stereo headset as that is what is mentioned on the website. So they sent me an official Nokia stereo headset seperately in the post free of charge.
i got a mono headset also ill try that
