I recently got a nokia 3250 from a friend's friend, brand new in the box. Now this will take any sim card. I have an o2 pay as you go sim card. now to get your balance you are supposed to dial *#10# <-- now when i enter that, originally it just said 'request cannot be completed', but now when i enter that, the screen goes white and comes back with the 'NOKIA' logo, then the phone goes back to normal.
I have noticed that when trying to get the settings for WAP/Email etc, there is no settings available for the 3250 on the O2 website. Is this becuase this phone is fairly new and they havn't yet got these settings, or is it an issue with the actual phone??
I would ask O2 (infact i have already emailled them - with no reply) but if you take a look around their website, you can see why i have asked the question with you guys/ladies.
be very grateful for any information, this is pulling my hair out as this phone isn't the cheapest.

YES as u said,,, becaues it is new phone sometimes it takes time for the SIM card company provider to set the WAP/Email setting. It is not phone problem.
Also make sure ur phone firm software Is V3.21 because in this version it solve
many problems of requsting codes like (*101*# etc.)

I'm using Nokia 3250 on O2.
You definitely need to get version 3.21 firmware on the phone. My first handset came with v3.21 and I could check my balance. However it developed a fault and was replaced with a 3.18 handset which was unable to check my balance. I put it into a Nokia Service Center (Carphone Warehouse) who update it free of charge as long as it's still under warranty (less than 1 year old).
To get the MMS, WAP and Web settings go to the Nokia website and click on Support then Get Settings then follow the prompts.
