Can I get software to sync my microsoft exchange email over bluetooth direct from the PC not the server. Our IT will not give wireless access to personal equipment but can I get some software to copy it from my PC directly. Just like I can with notes, todos and calendar.

If I recall correctly , the pcsuite gives you an option to connect via bluetooth when setting up the connection to the pc it is installed on.
Just checked, you have an option in manage connections for bluetooth when you have the suite installed. That's assuming you can get PCSuite installed via your IT
Department. They should approve it once they've checked the install CD for Virus etc. 😊

hi, thanks for the reply, but I forgot to say I have an N80 which has the email sync greyed out in PCsuite. So I am guessing this means it does not work with the N80?

Sorry m8 didnt look that far, apparently if its dimmed out you can't do it,
maybe they dont want people sticking thousands of emails on, who knows?
Mind you with the warning that pops up when you install an application a bit like windows they may be wary of virii (viruses whatever😊 )

It's not the IT department that have blocked it, it is Nokia. For some reason they are not letting N80s sync mail. But I am sure there must be something out there that does the job. I don't want it over the air just bluetooth or USB.

PC Suite supports local (USB, Bluetooth or infrared) email synch with Outlook only with the 9500/9300/9300i and not other models (simply because S60, or S40, devices do not have the requred device-side software yet).

Hopefully this means they will have software in the future.
The work arround at the moment is to drag the mails in myinbox over the the notes folder in outlook and then sync. This creates text versions of the email for me to read. No attachments though. They have to be dragged to the documents forlder manually.
I hope, also, that local email synch will work with PC Suite and S60 based devices in the future.
