calendar screensaver problem

8 replies · 3,735 views · Started 21 June 2006

When I set the Calendar for a screensaver it works only once. After I use the phone for anything, the next time the screensaver is again "Date and time" although in the Themes settings stays "Calendar". This also does not allow me to use Handy Clock for auto keypad lock more than once.

I'll appreciate any suggestions how to resolve this.

I have the same problem as you do ! Same phone, same firmware .. if you find a solution to this problem please send me a message.

I have the same firmware but seems to work fine for me. Though I use Autokeylock instead of handy clock's

Perhaps re-install?

I have tried to find the menu options to save the calendar on my E61 as the screen saver or wallpaper with no luck. How do you guys do it, or is it only with the othe E series phones? Thanks in advance.

I have it running just fine on my E61. The calendar screensaver is part of Handy Clock so you must have it installed on your phone. Then, as instructed by Handy Clock, go to menu -> Tools -> Themes, select your current theme then Settings and choose the Calendar screensaver.

oooooohhhh ok, I thought you guys were doing this without an extra app. Thanks Ill have to check out that program. Thanks again!

Now I found that some days it works OK and most days - only once, as described above (I switch the phone off in the night).
I also use Autokeylock, tried re-install, w/o keylock but it didn't help.

Does anybody know how to erase completely phone memory and wether the restore function of Nokia PC Suite actually restores everything (contacts, notes, files, alarms, sms, settings, ...)?

I have the same problem and I tried hard reset that I founded from http://nokia6600.wordpress.com/tag/problem-solver/nokia-series-60-and-symbian-smartphones/ (code *#7370#). But it didn't help. My phone is E50. I have opened support request to epocware, let's see what they say.

Here's the answer:

Hi
You must have Memory Card. With it everything must work perfectly. This is a part of Nokia new phones security system. So I am sure that with Memory Card Calendar screensaver will be shown normally.

So I guess I have to buy memory card.
