You downloaded the core version, right?
Place the wad to a wads folder on your memory card (e:\wads\), and rename it to doom1.wad.

I did that, but I am not shure I downloadad the correct wad,

I know there is a shareware version around but cant seem to find it on the net, do you have any ideas where I can get it ??

I think it currently only supports the shareware version. Search for doom1.wad on google.

I did that and cant seem to find it anywhere 😞

Thanks for the help.I downloaded the Core version.Then when i tried to open the game i got an error message saying "unable to open file" the file has a blue question mark beside it,is it supposed to be like this?

When im just data transfering stuff to my fone,is the best way to stop just pressing disconnect?As everytime i have been doing this is says i may loose data!?

I am getting this error also, tried everything, I am not sure this core version of doom is compatable with the N80 yet.

Makkara, have you got it working on your N80 yet ?

I indeed have, that's why I was a bit puzzled you have not.

I think I've figured it out now, though. I just bought a new memory card, and as Doom was installed on the old one, I reinstalled it. I was a bit shocked to find out that I indeed got the same error message you described. However I quickly noticed that for some strange reason the folder name and the filename were all in CAPS. I renamed WADS to wads and DOOM1.WAD to doom1.wad and now it works like a charm.

thanks for links only seems like doom will be the free option . carnt believe this fone only came with snake .

Still no good 😞, I uninstalled everything then reinstalled the core version, when installing I get message that version is not supported by the phone but continue anyway, when install finished then copy wad file to phone in wad folder, everything lower case (I tried both with mem card memory and phone memory) and still no good, am i missing something ??

I hope you meant wads folder, and memory card rather than phone memory. For some reason windows explorer showed the names in lower case, but the phone showed them in upper case, after renaming them with the phone's build in software (which was a bit bugged. I had to change the name of the folder before it let me set it lower case eg. WADS -> WADSd -> wads), everything worked fine. Although I think the following don't have an effect: Did you install Doom to phone memory or memory card and which firmware are you running?

I installed doom to memory card and am running the latest firmware.

I installed doom to memory card and am running the latest firmware.

I have latest firmware and tried installation on both phone memory and mem card memory and neither worked, I am just uninstalling everything again and going to give it one more try

Ok Doom all sorted 😊.

I uninstalled everything and started again.

installed doom core to the mem card

created a folder on my pc and put the doom1.wad into it and named the folder wads (everything lower case)

then copied the wads folder onto my phones mem card.

and all works fine 😊

Not true, the phone also come with sudoku.....
