Modify softkey button

hello all
I'm trying to permanently modify the softkey of my nokia 6630
The idea is to remove the Vo...Live! and replace it by my own link & logo
Does anyone know the piece of code to do that in Symbian ?
thanx for your help
Pedro

There is no piece of code that can do that, because on an operator-branded version of the phone, this has been locked in ROM (Read-Only Memory).

The way to get around it is to have your 6630 flashed with a "generic" retail version of the phone software (firmware), instead of the Vodafone version.

Thanks for the anwser... 'still have a hope 🙄
Actually I am developping a Symbian application that does cool stuff on Nokia 6 series, and I wish this application to replace the softkey link (when installed, or when first lauched)

Do you think the firmware flashing could be done this way? and how risky would it be .. if for instance you shut down the phone before the end ...
