if u do a software update u will LOSE everything u put on phone!
Hiya,
1 - v3.0617.0.6, 3-5-2006, RM-92 is the latest.
Open contacts, go to options -> settings and then Name Display - set to First nm. Last nm.
2 - See the sticky in the root of the N80 forums - http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/46864/
Don't forget - Search is your friend.
3 - As Biggzy rightfully said, a firmware update will wipe everything on your phone - I'd suggest syncing it with PC Suite or iSync first to make sure you've got another copy.

Any ideas? I go to "options" under contacts, but there's no "settings" option.
In contacts, select the left softkey (options).
Near the bottom of the list is 'Settings'.
Select this and the only setting you can set it the order of contact names (which is what you are after).
Regarding firmware, I didn't loose any settings when I upgraded. I did backup my phone with PC Suite just to be safe, though, and would highly recommend doing so if you decide to upgrade.
Only upgrade if you are confident in doing so and can follow instructions to the letter! You could really damage your phone if you do it wrongly. It is far safer to get a Nokia Service Centre to do it for you!
under "options" on my phone, "settings" is not listed
