I'm gona throw myself threw the window. I can't take it anymore.

I have terrible problem with my Nokia 6630 smartphone.

So, lets begin :

I bought my phone from a local dealer called Germanos (i'm bulgarian).

So i got my sim card and put it in the phone. Generaly i should recieve automaticly SMS with the WAP and MMS settings, but i didn't. OK, i've called my operator and asked to send me that configuration settings. Well they did, but almost ... I've recieved only the MMS settings, the WAP werent there. I called once again and asked what the problem was. They told me (from the operator service) that i should have recieved the sms with the settings. I wasn't as i said before. So the people from the service send me and other SMS, this time i got it, but ... when i try to open the sms i recieve "General: Feature not supported" WTF ?!?
I've used my phone with the same SIM card before and there was no problem. But i've hard reset the phone, cuz i've put so many programs, that i can't think of the particular number

Well after that Hard Reset, every thing went wrong.

Any ideas how can i cope with that problem ?

Edit: Oh, i forgot to mention, that my previous phone was SE P800, and the people from the support told me that they recieve info 4 p800, not for 6630 ... and 3 different support guys told me the same, no 6630 detected, but P800 ... wtf ?

:icon4: hey dude its a simple and clear problem of wrong settings being sent to ur phone, either screw ur service provider through the phone or go to one of there shop and make em put the settings manually an your phone!
🙄 i believe they r repeatedly sendin settings compatible only with ur old mobile...

You can also use the Nokia Configurator to send settings via SMS to your phone for phone model / operator. Its available on the Nokia site.

Yes,

I've done just so, and i noted that on the Nokia site, there is a "internet settings". Which i do not recieve at all when my operator send me the configuration settings.

I'm now waiting for the SMS by Nokia.

p.s. @ last i managed to cope with the wap, but ICQ and wheather programs still doesn't work. Now waiting Nokia configuration SMS.

icq n other messenger application need full internet GPRS to work,u cant use wap to connect to icq,ask ur service provider if they are providing full internet support or only wap access!

What do you mean WAP to work? WAP is a service that uses GPRS. Providers may have access points called WAP but this is usually only because they are acess points that are limited compared to full Internet Access Points.

sori not WAP. Was thinkin of sumthin else. What i was tryin to ask about is access to the mobile internet where it is charged per minute rather than by data usage?

I suggest you download the setting wizard from nokia.com. Just enter the keyword setting wizard in their search field, that should solve your problem with the settings that you're waiting for from your service provider. The setting wizard will automatically set your gprs, mms, internet, streaming etc... if those services are available from your network provider.
