word suggestions on text input?

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting the N80, can anyone tell me if when entering text it has 'word suggestions'?

For example if you wanted to type the word 'business' could you just type bus and then scroll down to select business or would you need to type the whole word?

Many thanks on this query, I text quite a lot and this is a feature of my SE S700i that I would not want to lose.

The N80 does have word suggesting but i works a bit different from the Sony ericsson. you press the * and it comes up with suggestions for you.
Theres no 'drop down' like on the SE.
But being an ex owner of several SE i must say, i dont miss it at all concidering all the other benefits you get from the N80. I havent once regrettet moving back to Nokia. something i actually thought i'd never do again.

hi,

Thanks for your reply, I know the N80 has T9 but what I mean is if you typw bus and then press * do you just get other 3 letter word suggestions only or will it even suggest longer words like business?

Many thanks,

Dave

No it doesn't.

That sort of fuctionality was added by Zi in 2nd Edition S60 phone, and they may be working on something similar for 3rd Edition.
