Hi All,
I have a 1gb twinMos DV-RSMMC in my N70 which has only 40mb worth of data on it...the problem is, is when i take a video it seems to judder and is very steppy when i am panning around, my video quality is set to "normal" and to save onto my MMC - any ideas how to get around this? Im sure I didnt have this problem when I used the free 64mb card I got with my N70.
Thanks.
I am having exactly the same problem. It has been suggested that the card is either not fast enough or faulty but it seems there is more to it then just this as a number of people are having this problem.
Is anyone out there using a 1gb card NOT having this problem ? if so which brand are you using ?
just set the quality to high
works for me
Using normal quality on a 1GB card seems to be a bit of a waste... you've loads of room for high quaity videos. I only have the 64mb card that came with my n70 and I always have my video quality set to high 😉
About the problem you're having, It's the card or the phone (or both.)
I heard that the N70 doesn't take kindly to any DV-RSMMC card that's over 256-512mb, because of the way the N70 scans the cards. A firmware update would probably fix this. The card itself could just be slow in accessing/writing data.
also panning around with the n70 isnt a very good idea since the frame rate isnt high enough(15 fps)
Some 1GB cards are fast enough, but yes, I've stuck to 512MB in my N70 to save the expense and hassle of working my way through the different makes in terms of testing each one.
I've never heard of a 512MB (or below) card that causes frame dropping during video capture....

It's only like that while recording, playing back is very smooth.... but I didn't try that on a bigger card, yet.
