N70Torch is a piece of software that allows you to use the N70's built in flash for illumination. Normally the LED / photo light on rear of the device is only activated when taking pictures. N70Torch allows the LED to be switched on and used for illumination. The software can be used with the video capture functionality of the phone to enable you to take videos in very low light conditions.

Thank you for reviewing our N70Torch software. We just want to comment on the safety warning. Through our testing, it is very safe to use the flash for long period illumination as long as the camera cover is open. Due to the heat generated by the LED, if it is left on while the cover is closed, the cellphone will become very warm. Therefore, as a precaution, we introduced the warning message. Our future upgrades will have better implementation to ensure the safety.

Right now we are having a promotional discount for buying N70Torch through any Handango selling channels such as All About Symbian.

Best Regards,

OTStudio Team.

Prehaps you have mistaken. We have tested FExplorer on Nokia N70 as the way you have described, and as a result, it does not perform any functions similar to our application. We would like to emphasize that unlike any other screen torch software, N70Torch uses the camera flash to perform the torch light function.

what happens if n70torch is accidentally turned on for an extended period of time, say by a child? does your program have a safety feature of turning it off automatically for after a predeterrmined period of time? if yes, how long is the waiting period before it automatically turns off? Thanks.
