Hi,
When I recieve a call, if the contact is in my address book the N80 tells me the name! Where does this voice come from? How do you turn it off...as I don't recall turning it on ! Any ideas?
N80 started speaking to me?

goto your profile settings and where is says "say callers name" set this to no
tools -> profiles -> "select your profile" -> personalise -> say callers name -> set to no

I'm suprised you see this as a problem, I got my N80 this morning and it was something I activated. I think it is quite handy to hear who is calling before I bother picking up my phone.

I had this activated for about 2 weeks and initially thought it was quite cool, but then it started to get on my nerves
Fair enough, I'm still at the 'isn't that cool' stage. I just wish I could change the six icons on the main screen!

You can
Tools -> settings -> phone -> standby mode -> active standby apps -> and change to whichever apps you want on the main screen 😊

somebody needs to pay some sexy voiced bird to say "whatevername" is calling so that you can assign each name to each caller .. I would pay for that 😊..

its like weird lol, i had this activated too but it lasted like 1 week, it got boring hehehe.

yea, I had it on my phone untill I got a real cool ringtone, then the name of the person came in after a few seconds after the ringtone started which made the ringtone sound sh*t
can you get the voice to read out text messages? that would be cool for when you are driving.

would be cool, but I didnt see it as an option, maybe there is a third party software out there that will do it

Great Idea!!!!
I like the name voice only when I am using the BT headset. This way I can avoid looking at the phone to see who is calling. I don't bother with individual ring tones.
